Pinterest Food Ideas

When my week begins I'm always hopeful that I will write a menu plan for the week and follow it. I get so sick of the same things so recently I have started going to my Food Pinboard and writing my menu from the things I find there.

Here are a few things I plan on making this week.

Panko Crusted Stuffed Chicken

3 Packet Pot Roast in the Crock Pot

Paula Deen's Banana Pudding

Paula Deen's Overnight French Toast

And a few other things that we make regularly.

But I will be a big girl a do my best to be outgoing!
Wish me luck and hope I will see you there if you are local.

Here are the details on the meet up if you are interested in going.

Spooky Pale Green

Have you heard of the Dr. Suess book called "What Was I Scared Of?"
The Spooky Pale Green Pants!?!
 via

That's what I thought of when I was doing this quick and easy project today.
I bought this twine'y pumpkin last year on clearance at Target. It was only like $2 and it definitely was not very attractive. It had foam berries on it and the berries had exploded so the foam was showing through, plus it was seriously lopsided. But bought it I did!
I hacked of the berry things and I was thinking I wanted to spray paint it the "spooky pale green" color from the Dr. Suess book.
I found Krylon's Avocado color was a perfect fit!

And, I like the lopsidedness because it give it a more 'spooky' flair to it.

Vintage Suitcase Collection

There are so many ideas of what to do with old suitcases.
I wrote a post with images of great ideas.

I finally started my collection.
The top two are from my mom...thanks Mom!
The blue one i bought for $2 at a local thrift.
The bottom 2 are from my Grandpa, he turns 100 years old in 2 weeks!

I do need to do some dusting, and the lighting is horrible because they are stacked in my basement where there is not much natural light.

The CRAFT Table

You may or may not already follow {Sweet Pickins} blog.

She may or may not sell refinished furniture.

I may or may not regret telling you all about her awesome stuff and now you will get all the beautiful things before I do!

A couple days ago she posted this table and I called her the second I saw it and told her I was interested. I've been in the market for a craft table for my new craft room downstairs. As of now it's the only piece of furniture in my craft room.

Sorry for the flash pictures...my basement does not have tons of natural light and I was trying to give you a feel for the color of the table.
Love the deep turquoise'y color.

Fall Wreath

I'm sharing my Fall Wreath that I recently made!

I started with the Straw Wreath Form that I actually bought at Salvation Army for $3!!
A serious steal!
It's super big which I love, Like 18" across.
I bought this burlap stuff at Hobby Lobby in the reupholstering section.  I LOVE it so much. The material is thick with red striping in it but it does have some sort of chemical treatment that makes it slightly stinky.

I started wrapping it up. Simple. No instructions there.
Then I just chose my Fall things to dress it up with:
wheat sheaths (found at Hob Lob), red tulle, red Christmas berries, some raffia.
Really whatever you have on hand!

Great tip**  To prevent the wreath hanger from scratching my door, I attached a piece of felt normally used to prevent chairs from scratching wood floors.
