Halloween Bead Board Sign

A few ladies and I in my area have started a craft group.

We get together once a month'ish and 1 person is in charge of putting together a craft for all of us to do.

We had our first one last week and I was in charge.

I had a bunch of bead board left over from our bathroom projects so I wanted to do something with that.

I found my idea from Brown Paper Packages but I knew that we could dress it up a bit more than she had. So I had my husband pre-cut the wood ahead of time and then I just gathered all my supplies that we could possibly need.

I set up tables out in my garage (which was awesome because the kids could just play outside while we crafted). We painted our boards black and then everyone just took all sorts of directions from there!

My Final Project

Halloween Rag Quilt

I finally finished my Halloween Rag Quilt, Yippee!

My kids have loved it so much.

They just lay it out like a 'carpet' and sit and lay all over it.

I layed out my fabric how I wanted it to be when it was done.

I sewed the squares together in rows. Then the rows together, with a 1/2 inch seam.

 Here's the long and tedious part... start cutting notches, about a 1/2 inch'ish, around every seem. Don't cut into the thread.

Then put it in the wash (cold water, no soap) then put it in the dryer to get it to fray!

 Like my cute bat pillow! It's from Ameroonie's shop.

Just in time for the snow that started flying today.

Cut It Out Already Frames - {Giveaway}

A couple weeks ago I went to a local boutique/gift show and I saw these really darling frames, 

from Cut It Out, that have a similar look to the really popular wavy edged frames, except these babies are about a THIRD of the price. They come to you in a natural wood state which leaves you to be able to paint the frame whatever color would suit your rooms color scheme!

So for a HUGE chunk of savings you would need to put a tad bit of elbow grease into your project and paint.

I plan on purchasing several of these frames to go with my Cinnamon Ink photos (I bought at the same gift show) (Go HERE to enter her Giveaway that we have going on simultaneously).

Cinnamon Ink: By Kate - {Giveaway} CLOSED

When my oldest moved to a 'big girl' bed I had all these high hopes of making her room adorable.

I quickly realized that I was not out of the woods yet. I still had to have her bed shoved up against the walls and have the ugly toddler railing that exposes the box springs for everyone to see.

The bed has to be piled high with 'babies' and a stack of books that are not to be removed under any circumstance.

So when I was recently at the Oh Sweet Sadie gift show locally here in Utah, I saw the most ADORABLE prints that I HAD to have from Cinnamon Ink: By Kate. Seriously almost bought one of each of them. Because I didn't necessarily have money enough to buy one of each I bought 3 hoping to do a cute arrangement on my daughters wall at some point.
