Thanksgiving Kids Table Printable - FREE

This post is the exact reason why I started this blog. Let me explain. Like a week ago or so, I couldn't exactly remember when, I found this particular site with this free printable for the kids table at Thanksgiving. I thought it was SO cute and decided I would try to do this for the kids at Thanksgiving. Of course, I didn't save it and now a week or two later I'm trying to find it and can't find it anywhere. I check all my regular craft type blogs and can't find it. I try googleing it but nothing is coming up, I try every variation I can think of!! Now I'm to the point where I've tried finding it for so long if I don't find I really might lose sleep over it trying to think of some other way yo find it. Alas, I don't know what I did but suddenly it came up and the second it did I bookmarked it!!

I hope I didn't go through all that and no one else enjoy it as much as I do!

Paper Glitter is the website. She does very cute stationary and invitations and anything to do with paper. She has a lot of really cute stuff. I might have to come back when my oldest turns 3 in 6 months for birthday stuff.

I'm always looking for really cool things to fill up HUGE walls, it seems we have an over abundance of big walls in our house. I saw this and thought maybe I could do this!

I saw it on Not So Idle Hands
There is no tutorial or anything, So I don't know how to go about making this. Any suggestions?

Traditional Thanksgiving Recipes

We have a few traditional holiday recipes that I thought I would share!

Sticky Buns

16-18 Rhoades Rolls frozen

½ c. nuts (optional)

1 small package Butterscotch Pudding, cook & serve (not instant)

¾ c. Brown Sugar

1 t. Cinnamon

½ c. Butter

Butter a Bundt cake pan, place frozen rolls in the pan, set aside. Stir together the nuts, brown sugar, pudding & cinnamon. Sprinkle mixture over the frozen rolls. Pour melted butter evenly over the mixture and rolls. Cover the pan with plastic wrap and put in refrigerator overnight. Next morning let sit at room temp for an hour or so, so that the rolls can rise a little. Remove plastic and place in a COLD oven and set to 375 degrees. Bake for 30 minutes.

When down take them out of the oven and let them sit for about 5 minutes to set up and then flip out onto a plate, all the ooey-gooeyness will run all over and be delicious.

Also, Cranberry Raspberry Sauce is to DIE for! When I first made this for Thanksgiving several years ago my dad said he never wanted anything different ever again. And the only variation they've done is use Strawberries once because they didn't have Raspberries.

1 pkg of Cranberries

1 pkg Frozen Raspberries

1 cup water

1 cup Sugar

Boil water and sugar together until dissolved, add cranberries. Lower heat and simmer about 10 minutes or until cranberries stop popping. Add bag of raspberries and turn off heat. Let set for at least 10 minutes, serve warm or refrigerate and serve chilled. (I love it cold!)

Thanksgiving Advent Calendar

I guess if I had thought about it any closer than I would have posted this on the 1st of November or even in October so you could do this in November. I love advent calendars. I loved them as a kid and I love them still. Here's some way cute ones that you could purchase or try to replicate it yourself.

Thankful Tree

My first Project for the Thanksgiving season. I saw this on The Crafting Chicks website, but I have seen it floating around on lots of other sites too and different variations of it as well.

Supplies you will need:

tree branches

vase, jar, or bucket for the tree branches

ribbon

die cut leaves

First off find a nice branch with lots of different branches for hanging the thankful leaves from.

Decorate your vase.

So once you get to this point you can gather the family around. Explain that this is the Thankful Tree, or Tree of Thanks, or whatever you want to call it. Each person will take a die cut leaf and write something they are grateful for each night.

After everyone has written, tack your leaf onto your tree. I used some more ribbon, cause really, can you have enough?!?!

Here's my tree so far, I drove up the canyon and cut down a bunch of branches. I love the arrangement even if I didn't put leafs on it. (excuse the very horrible picture taken, the flash cast shadows on the wall behind so it looks blurry). I dont have a die cut leaves so I am buying these off of Paper Creations on Etsy

And then we will write everyday or every couple days the things we are thankful for until Thanksgiving Day.

Visiting Teaching Kits

For those of you that are LDS and have sisters to Visit Teach here is a post for you. I know we are not asked to bring something to our sisters when we visit teach, but man, isn't it so much more fun to take something and also so much fun to receive too! Well, I came across this idea originally from Sugardoodle where people make cutesy vt kits and sell them (for people like me that don't have much brain for creative stuff like this) I would so much rather someone else think it up and put it together and me just pay them some money. Here's a couple different websites to check each month.

Each month there is the Whole Visiting Teaching message, usually a recipe, and a cute way to put it all together, and sometimes a treat. If there is no treat I try to always add one.
