I have spent SO MANY hours this week thinking about and looking at carpet for our basement!

I swear I could be a carpet salesman now. I've got all the lingo down!

BUT, I still haven't decided what to buy for the basement. 

 If anyone has bought carpet lately what have you bought and why?

Shag or Plush? Nylon or Poly? 

Do you upgrade the pad?

I'm struggling trying to find a great deal.

Any carpet buying tips you want to share with me?

Basement Family Room

We are at the point where we are carpet shopping for our basement and then comes a few major necessary pieces of furniture. I am in need of serious decorating advice of what to do in the basement family room. Here are a few pictures that I either like one or more elements from the photo.

Happy Pioneer Day

Utah has a State holiday today...Pioneer Day. This is the day the Mormon Pioneers entered the Salt Lake Valley back in 1847. It's like the 4th of July around here. Fireworks, BBQ's, Parades, Rodeo's, Day off of work. My husband was gone most the week last week but he has today off...Love it!

I took a couple pictures of my Memosa tree...It's SO gorgeous!

Coupon?

I just wanted to let you guys know that I will be a little sporadic with my blogging during the summer. I've done less craft projects because I'm spending more time doing fun things with my kids. We've had a lot going on with, swimming lessons, Gymnastics, Dance Class, playing outside, and attempting to potty train my 3 year old.

Ok, I'm wondering if anyone has a coupon for Anthropologie that they won't use? I REALLY want to buy this shower curtain for my bathroom that I'm re-doing, but don't won't to pay full price.

Potty Training

My oldest turned 3 in May.

I have put off potty training as long as possible!

I have dreaded it more than anything else!

She already has potty issues...I have to give her Miralax everyday to make sure she goes #2.

If I want her to go to Pre-school in 6 weeks then I have GOT to get it done, NOW!

So we are doing lots of this:

What are your tricks and tips? 

I'm pretty much terrified of the whole thing.

I hate having to be tied to home all day and sitting on a potty every 5 minutes.

How do you do the nights?

How do you stay calm when she doesn't make it?

How do you keep the 1 year old from getting in the potty?

When do you stop giving treats?

When do you stop doing the Pull-Ups?

When do you stop giving them liquid at night?

I have about a thousand other questions.
