Long Day

I took my baby (16 months) to the Dr. yesterday. She has consistently been dropping her weight percentage every time we go to the dr. I knew that she hadn't really gained any weight since 3 months ago so I was curious as to what they would say.
Yup, she had actually lost weight since last visit. So now it's concerning and they want to run some blood tests. I'm so not looking forward to having her blood drawn. How in the Heck do you have a 16 month old sit still for that?!?

I basically need to melt butter into everything she eats and she can only drink milk (she was almost never drinking milk before.
And to top it off, she had 4 vaccines yesterday and was sporting a fever of 102.2 all night long last night so I was able to finally go to sleep at 5:30 and woke up at 7 to get my other daughter up and going to preschool.

My baby looks like a 9 month old walking around. People always say "Wow, I can't believe she's walking already" HA! She's 16 Months!

Oh, I hope they figure out what's going on soon. Sometimes not knowing is way worse then knowing, because when you know what's going on you can set a game plan. Hopefully, it's nothing serious. Sending good thoughts your way!

Both Connor and Clover had the blood tests done for the same reason. THey turned out fine in the end. ALSO...we went to the Riverton IHC hospital- pediactic lab to get Clover's blood work done. They were so quick, I was impressed.

I'm so sorry to hear that! It must be really stressful to not know what's going on. Hopefully it's nothing serious. Best wishes to you both!

my daughter just had blood drawn yesterday for a surgery she will have this coming tuesday (and she's only 9 months old). They had my husband hold her in a bear hug to hold her still and they drew the blood with the little butterfly needle. They brought out their "baby expert" and she was wonderful. Very friendly and efficient. Only one poke. And it was hard for me to stand there and watch it and to hear it. I walked around a lot. But it needed to be done and I just cuddled her lots when it was done. Good luck!!

My baby girl turned 1 this past Saturday and she isn't even 20 lbs yet. And I have to take her in for bloodwork to check her lead levels and am cringing at the thought. Vaccines are bad enough.
Hope everything works out for you all, sending prayers!
